Join The Adventure Cafe Team!
We're always looking for the very best Cycling, Mountain and Multi Activity Leaders, as well as full time core team members to join us in the office in events management & logistics. If you think you have what it
takes to join us - then please send us a CV. We need fit, personable, experienced, qualified natural born leaders to join our team. Email us, or phone us!
Current Opportunities
Freelance Mountain/Cycle/Rock Leaders
We are always seeking to expand our team with the brightest leaders. You MUST be personable, an exceptional navigator, technically
highly proficient, but also able to make good sound decisions, to keep your participants safe, and to ensure good outcomes for your events. Interpersonal skills are an essential pre-requisite. You must also have ecellent personal fitness. Our challenges do not suit centre based leaders
who want to stand at the bottom of a crag until 4:30pm and then go home to tea and cake... because our adventures aren't built like that :-)
Seasonal Positions - Event Leadership
We seek full time seasonal leaders to join our team from time to time - a position that suits broadly qualified and experienced leaders - with ML / TCL / SPA / BCU Quals - of course with the best interpersonal skills to back it up with.
Cycle Event Leaders
We have seen an EXPLOSION in our Cycling Events over the last few years - and hence we are always seeking new and enthusiastic Cycle Leaders. But don't be fooled into
thinking this is an easy ticket! The hours are long, and you need to be exceptionally good to get paid to ride your bike! You need outstanding people leadership skills, you need to be VERY fit, and you need to have first aid and mechanical skills.
In the first instance, if you think you have what it takes, please email info@adventure-cafe.com
Salary and Conditions
We look to pay a highly competitive freelance salary, at the upper end of what can be expected in the outdoors. We also cover petrol allowance to reach the start of an event. Note we do not pay wages to cover your travel time, but we do offer meal allowance
and accommodation whilst on event.
You must have a First Aid Qualification, and the pre-requisite NGB Award.
What do we believe In?
We think challenge itineraries should be carefully planned in order that they work. We believe our events are the best around, as we always put in 110% to making sure our participants have the best time, and that we do our very best to keep
them safe at all times. We believe that our challengers want to be pushed hard, and want to be encouraged to complete the event, whilst remaining safe, and having an experience to remember, with fun leaders. When our challengers paddle, we
paddle with them, when they trek, we trek with them, and when they cycle, we're there with them. This means we know exactly how they're feeling, how they're coping, and we can share the experience. We think this makes
everyone enjoy the challenge that little bit more. We always work hard, and we all play hard.
In our line of work this means usually practising what we preach in our free time - we want staff who get out there on their days off. We believe we have the best job in the world... give us a call to take the first step...
